Talk about out of the blue…. (Be careful what you wish for….)
The wheel turns and comes around again. In December 2012, just in time for Christmas, I was honoured to be invited back to join my great friend and singer George Belanger as keys/guitar/vocals/etc. with the mighty ‘Quin. I had done a few odd gigs with the boys over the last century … uh … years, and always delighted in playing the songs for our loyal fans. Fantastic being back in the lineup!
While there have been a few iterations of Harlequin over the years, and I have been fortunate to have sat in with some outstanding musicians, I was especially happy to rejoin two premier players: guitarist Derrick Gottfried and drummer AJ Chabidon. Then add the amazing Paul McNair … formidable! You always want to play with the best … and hey you can’t get any better than this!
It has been half a century of music, in all genres: classical, country, Motown, rock (any), new age – you name it. Throughout my sabbatical years (another wonderful story) I never stopped playing, never stopped writing, never stopped being amazed at how well our music plays to this very day and most of all, never stopped wanting to take the stage.
Well … (omg!) … I’m back.
